Big, ripe Shiraz from the Cape. Soft and warm, with loads of ultra ripe fruit, hints of black pepper and a fair whack of oak. According to their website, 20-24 months in 95% French/5 % American oak. Seems like more American oak than that, but whatever, it is a bit too strong for my tastes. Lovers of Barossa Valley Shiraz will love this. Tasted Feb 2018.
