A fine, leaner style of Chianti Classico, replete with sour cherry fruits, dried fruit, herbs, earthy notes and that Sangiovese acidity and tannin on the finish. Oak seems dialed back compared to the '09 that had a year and a half ago. Another year should help smooth things out a bit. On sale at $20 was fine value. Tasted Dec 2018.
