Although my expectations weren't that high for this affordable Crozes, I was not disappointed. The wine was most likely in a dumb phase for the last year or so explaining the mediocre reviews. It is currently excellent! The wine is quite complex with aromas of black pepper dried herbs, dark fruit and smoked meat. The finish is long and smooth, this is not a powerhouse of a wine, its an elegant northern rhone Syrah with a beautiful nose. Can improve with further aging 2-4 years. Pair with roasted poultry, red meats, and awesome with hamburgers.
Seems to already be on the decline. Not very aromatic, thin, off-balance. Hints of pepper and meat, some reduced fruit, no finish...probably the worst crozes available at the saq, avoid
