This wine is really impressive. Cherry, violets, cream, walnut, faint oak and old school barnyard. The palate is incredibly suave with super fine tannins - very refined! This is a wine you fall in love with...or at least I did.
Organically grown Sangiovese (with a splash of Cabernet) in Tuscany in the Pisan Hills. This certainly has more than a passing resemblance to a Chianti Classico, with bright sweet and sour cherry fruit, bright acidity and crisp but not overbearing tannin. Just medium bodied, this is a wine that takes some time to reveal its charms once opened. A fine Tuscan red, one certainly for the table. Worth holding another year or three. Tasted Dec 2017.
