Apparently, this red is 100% Sangiovese. While this does not display much Sangiovese or Tuscan character, it is a well made and delicious wine. Very ripe, in fact showing hints of over-ripeness, wine dark red cherry fruit and hints if cocoa. Really, this could be from anywhere. However, at $16, the enjoyment value I high. Recommended.
