Among the best of all the brunello's at the benvenuto brunello 2017 tasting in Montreal. Concentrated yet fresh, with caramelized orange zest, mint, dark and red fruit and good oak. Still youthful. Although the riserva had more depth (heavy on the dried prune and fig), this was (along with some of the products from la maggia) the stand out of the night.
