As with nearly every assyrtiko I've had, this is a good quality wine. Its unique salty/mineral character is still present (easily identifiable when tasted blind) but this one is infused with a relatively heavy dose of oak, making less of an easy drinking "passe-par tout" porch and food wine to one that should be relegated to pairing with fatty fish and salty cheeses. It would be interesting to taste this in a few years to see how the oak integrates.
