A blend of Chardonnay/Pinot Noir that spent 5.5 years on the lees. This is highly aromatic with bready, citrus, lemony aromas and flavours, joined by some yeasty notes on the medium+ bodied palate. There's fine mousse and some sweetness that's balanced by the bright acidity. Nice, lengthy finish. Tasted Mar/2017. Score: 90+ pts
This fabulous traditional-method bubbly spends a minimum 5 years on its lees, which lends beautiful brioche/biscuit aromas. On the palate, the texture is creamy, yet the bubbles are quite fine. I got a candied ginger on the palate, but Serge gave me a strange look when I said that, so who knows. My bizarre palate also revealed notes of almond, green apple, citrus and whiteflower. Perfect for your next special occasion!
