Fresh, racy and savoury. Hard to beat at sub $15, though without the complexity that a few more bucks can bring in other value based examples.
I tried to take the bottle out of the "bag" that it is packaged in, to see the label. But, wait, the bag is glued to the bottle! The bag IS the label! DUH! Hmmm, It is different I suppose. What is IN the bottle is a, of course, most important and what you will find is fresh and lively red, with brisk acidity and light tannin. Immediately identifiable as the Douro. For near term consumption (the next 12-18 months). Very nice value. Tasted Dec 2016.
