Delicious this Chablis Champs Royaux 2015 from William Fevre. From the opening, the charm of the scent "rifle stone", white flowers and ripe pears. Tender and spherical in mouth texture ... Is it the vintage sun effect that was the 2015 or the breeding? Knowing that at Fevre, the wines have a passage under wood. Which gives them a certain roundness, even a certain fat. And here in the finale, the legendary freshness of the Chablis wine takes place and comes to take us a certain smile of satisfaction. That of Pleasure.
Medium+ intensity nose leads with stony minerality earth aromas followed by lemon and lime notes. It's medium-bodied with a plush mouthfeel and gentle acids on the palate. Balanced throughout with nice aroma replays that are a touch ripe fruited. Long, clean finish. Tasted Apr/2017.
This is a refined and charming standard grade chablis. Quite closed on the aromatics front, but crisp, precise and mouthwatering on the palate. Notes of ripe pair, yellow apple, and brioche are present. The wine has good length with a somewhat long finish. Not the most complex but thoroughly enjoyable. Should gain in complexity over the next five years.
