I stumbled upon this winery en route to Niagara Falls whilst ambling along Hwy 8. I am amazed by the wines being released from such a small bench producer!! The twangy notes of flint, limestone and oranges are immediately evident in the nose of this unoaked Chardonnay. Flavors of oranges and ripe peaches open up on the palate and balance decently with a long finish. This vino would be great with a breaded white-fleshed fish
This unoaked chardonnay has a medium lemon colour with a green tinge. The nose of ripe green apple and apricot has accents of citrus peel. The midweight palate is well integrated with a structured acidic backbone. The flavour profile is full of stonefruits and has a noticeable creaminess that is imparted by lees contact. The finish is pleasing, has zest, and is of good length. Enjoy now. (Jan 12, 2011)
