This is so well made! From a riper vintage that put some beef into Niagara reds, this is not quite ready for prime...

This is an excellent example of what Ontario can produce in a 'perfect' year. The price is very reasonable for a high quality Ontario Bordeaux-style blend. Decant it and give it a try and prepare to be amazed. I have a few bottles of its big brother, La Brunante, which I am now even more excited about opening... in 2020 or so. This needs another few years of cellaring.

From the excellent 2012 vintage, this is a blend of 46% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc and 13% Malbec, offering big complex, plummy, dark fruit, currant, sweet oak, mint and licorice aromas and flavours. Full-bodied with firm tannins and mouth-watering acids on the palate. Long finish. Try in 4+ years and will drink for a decade. Tasted Oct/2016.

A beautiful Bordeaux style red from Ontario, one of my favourites. Needs to be decanted now or wait a couple of more years.
