Nice tight super fine tannins to support the suave fruit and earthy tones. It has a touch of old school Rioja funk to it, but stays neat and tidy on the finish. Medium bodied and Firm. This is a serious wine by all measures. Score = BUY BUY BUY!!!
I believe that this a Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend (the winery's website says Petit Verdot for the current vintage in place of Sangiovese). Very fine red here, with a very Tuscan feel to it: Red fruit mostly, dusty tannin, dark chocolate and a long finish. Seems to be at about its peak now. Tasted Dec 2021.
