The Pinot Noir Old Block comes from the oldest vines of Pinot Noir (1994). This parcel is part of the McLean Creak Road Vineyard. The vintage 2014 is the first cuvée produced exclusively from this plot. Previously, the must of this plot was part of the blend of their cuvee McLean Road. Here we are dealing with a wine that seems to me much more finished than the other cuvées. Tasty, tannins fine and well integrated and a desired freshness, as can give us this wonderful grape that is the Pinot Noir. After having tasted their four cuvées, I can only conclude that the Pinot Noir cuvées of the Meyer family are undoubtedly part of the finest wines of this grape variety on Canadian soil. Congratulations to Jak and Janice Meyer and their talented "winemaker" Chris Carson.
