This is a very fruit forward, fresh, and balanced chardonnay, and is already quite nicely integrated at just under a year old. It was fermented in a combination of stainless steel and neutral barrels. The oak influence is just enough to add texture to the mid-palate, and contribute some gentle spice nuances on the nose and palate. The nose is dominated by ripe peach, pineapple, gala apple, and melon, with background notes of nutmeg and ginger, honeysuckle, and yeasty/biscuit character. The flavours repeat with lots of ripe tropical and orchard fruits, a bit more spice, and then a burst of lemon/lime. The finish is good length, with apple, citrus, baking spices, and biscuit lingering.
