This is a single varietal Vinho Verde made from 100% Loureiro grapes. As such, it offers all of the bracing, refreshing character of regular Vinho Verdes, plus a bit more complexity. There are some small bubbles present, which is typical, and if it does anything, it increases the wine's prickly, tingly mouthfeel. The nose is dominated by lemon and lime, with a soft backdrop of orange blossom, honeysuckle, yellow apple, under-ripe pineapple, vague herbal and nutty tones, and a salty minerality. The light-bodied yet intense palate shows similar flavours, but with a touch of white pepper. The high acidity is mouth-watering. The lemon/lime and salty minerality really lingers on the finish. This is an absolutely perfect wine to pair with light fishes, especially ones seasoned with lemon (add an extra squeeze?).
