I have always enjoy Black Prince wines, nice balances in all their wines, I didn't find a 2008 Cabernet Franc i picked up a 2009 Reserve at the winery, I held it for a year. The nose is 'dusty and farme yard dark, the colour is on the deep side, and the taste is fruit and that 'lime stone edge of the region is underlied. It was better to soften it with a year , a nice wine not a great wine, nice with a plate of cheese and some dry meats.
I loved the 2007 so much that I tried to buy a case before they went to the 2008. LCBO delivered a case of the 2008 instead of the 2007. Oh well I thought... Huge difference in the wine. Something is just not right with it - almost concocted. Multiple bottles, multiple people - same consensus. Disappointing as the 2007 was awesome.
