Lovely blackberry, brambly dark berry, smoked meat, and peppery aromas sit on top of earthy and savoury notes. It's mid-weighted with spicy peppery flavours, plus dark berry, blackberry and some earthy nuances. It has succulent, balanced acids and refined tannins with just a touch of grip. More minerally and earthy on the finish, with very good length. Drink over the next 3-4 years. Tasted Dec/2018. Score: 88+ pts

Medium-full bodied shiraz, with pepper and cured meat inflected dark berry fruit. Fairly well balanced, if a bit jammy for my tastes. That said, there is quite a lot here for the money (on sale, forget the price, duh!)….a fine bbq wine for sure. Agree with Sara, chill this for 45 minutes in the fridge before serving. Trust me, it is better with a slight chill. Tasted Aug 2018.
