wow ! good buy for the money ! .. feels a lot like an italian cabernet ! can be drank alone ! beautiful nose expression ! not to tanic and just a bit of acidity ! best between now and 2021 but would ove to see how it exprress itself in 5years
I really loved this wine for it's old school earthy brett characteristics. It has nice spicy cherries and some floral notes. Nice weight to it as well. I could drink this all night, but the first couple sips are always the best.
Blend of 70% Nero di Troia and the rest other varieties, this has medium-high intensity aromas of wet earth, dried cherry, barnyard, olive and black pepper. It's medium-full bodied on the palate and maturing quite well with dusty tannins and flavours of olive, earth, sour cherry, and sweet baking spice. Harmonious with balanced acids and long finishing. Tasted Oct/2016. Score: 90+ pts.
Quite earthy and dusty, though somewhat understated on the nose. Dried cherry and cranberry, dark plum, fig, sage, green olive, leather, dried leaves, and a touch of violet and vanilla. There is also a bit of gamey, brett character. Repeats on the palate with some sundried tomato, bitter cocoa, and clove spice. Medium-full bodied, high acidity, and firm, dusty tannins. Good length finish, with dried cherry and earth.
Rating is on the last of 4 purchased early 2017.Maybe too long on the cellar shelf . Very dry with a little less fruit than I remember.Good not great but definitely structured at an agreeable price point 3 30 19
