Fruit forward in the modern style with good cabernet typicity of cassis, black berry and slightly pruned fruit and mint. Oak is in check offering supporting flavours of vanilin and pencil shavings. A meaty flavour adds to the complexity. While tannins are mild, structure is achieved by juicy acidity providing balance to the fruit. All that plus very good length all combine to bump this cab into the excellent scoring range. A terrific bargain at its regular price, but with the current $3 discount at the LCBO, it's a steal. Lots of flavour, but it has a bit of harshness. Using the carafe did not help much. It is no better than we can grow in Ontario.

Out of 5 stars, I rated this wine: 3.5+
This wine was a disappointment. Although it had a pleasant aroma with red fruits and earth, the wine was thin and acidic and did not have as long a finish as desired. We did drink this wine on its own, and with the bright acidic profile it has, it would have paired much better with food.
