Great colour, with a nose of sweet spice, lots of oak influence, and red and black berries. There's something dusty, and leathery there too. The palate is more red fruit than black, but hints of plum intermingle with chocolate, mocha, and pencil shavings. Lovely texture, with ripe smooth tannins. Paired well with rare steak.
Medium intensity nose with green pepper, oak and pomegranate aromas. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with oak, earth and tobacco flavours. Tannins integrating nicely. Has good acidity and lengthy finish. Tasted Oct/2014.
Soft & medium bodied. Cherry tobacco flavors dominate.
This wine was just a bit too much on the green, herbaceous side for my tastes. The flavour profile showed green bell peppers mixed in with oak. The flavour profile could change with time, but I'm not certain.
Tasted Blind at a Beefsteak & Burgundy Club event, April 2015.
