One of the many well-priced Priorat gems that blends sensuality, approachability and typicity. Notes of fresh earth,...

Wow! Truly smooth and elegant, with an interesting undertone of liquorice. Starts well, and improves over several glasses. This is my favourite of this release, and I just bought some more.

Deeply coloured red here from Priorat. Very ripe blackberry fruit, with notes of cedar and vanilla. Not overripe as Priorat's can occasionally be. Nicely structured and well balanced. Drinking nicely now, but I think this may well improved with a year or two in the cellar. Certainly worth buying a couple or three bottles to try over the next couple of years. Tasted May 2015.

What great value for a Priorat, and for a characteristically elegant Priorat at that. This doesn't have great depth or length, but it offers up a fine expression of this famous and usually high-end region, resembling Left Bank Bordeaux with its plum/cassis, leather, spice, and oak notes (not surprising given that it's made up of 30% Cab to complement the 35% each of Garnacha and Mazuelo), and there's some nice tart cherry to provide refreshment amidst the denseness. It's still a bit tight and closed, and could benefit from additional time to mellow and soften, but the sophistication is evident.
