The 2001 Marqués De Cáceres Gran Reserva is a light to medium bodied, integrated to aged wine, with intense aromas of cherry, leather, oak and vanilla. It has a nice acidity, refined tannins (decant for 30 min) and a finish of medium to long length. Drink now-2015. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts. Tasted May/12.

Really nothing special here. For the same price, if you can find it, buy Vina Rioja Alta Alberdi Reserva 2003. This is a significantly better wine. Really, this Rioja (Marques) is a dud and for $30.00 there are far better choices.
