Leans more toward a more traditional (which s not to say, bottle in a basket) style Chianti. Crisp acidity, red and black cherry fruit and some leathery notes. Perhaps lacks a bit of the charm of some Chiantis but is a fine match to any tomato-based Italian cuisine. Tasted April 2016.
