Christmas 2016 lunch made pleasant by this pick – permit my bold offer that January 2015 tasting note is no longer; all is happily aged-out – instead a quaffable, low alcohol Riesling, with continued racy citrus and white peach notes. A lunch-pleaser paired perfectly with cold spicy Pad Thai, plus ginger-garlic scallops on steamed swiss chard. Nicely clocks in low at 9.5% alcohol and BC LDB Liquor Store price did not hurt at $14.99. NOTE: (at writing, BCLDB website read 10.5%abv.) but Uber 2014 vintage is 9.5%abv.
Tasted Christmas 2016.
In my opinion, more of this lower-alcohol style, with almost no sweetness, has a ready market.
