It's only wine but I like it

A solid and dense merlot -cabernet blend from Umbria. Firm tannin, ripe black fruits, hints of spice but deft oak treatment. Needs big protein at the table to balance that tannin. This should keep for a while but fine now too. Excellent value on deal at under $16. Tasted Oct 2016.
