This wine hit above its price point. It was fruity, warm, complex and had a very long finish. The overall feeling when drinking this wine, however, was how composed and sophisticated it was. IT was smooth and easy to drink. A lovely wine when paired with a steak. A shame I only had one.

This is a fairly plush, medium weight Rhone blend. Cherries, hot rock and smoky ash on the nose. The palate adds licorice, violets and coco powder. Dusty tannins add grip to the finish. Good value for $20. BIG TIP - decant for an hour - this get much richer, rounder and smoother.

In this blend the mouvedre plays a more dominant role (there's no granache)... and the result is quite enjoyable.
