The 2012 Burrowing Owl Estate Winery Pinot Noir, aged for 9 months in French, Russian and Hungarian oaks; has appealing cranberry, raspberry and old wood notes on the nose and rosehip, pomegranate, red currant and old wood on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward/crisp acidity, subtle tannins and a medium finish. This is a food friendly wine; drink now and for the next 2-3 years (cork enclosure). My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts. Tasted in Nov/14 http://grapeselections.com/grapeselections/wine-reviews/.
