The 2013 Enchanted by The Foreign Affair Winery is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling done in the ripasso style. The nose has medium plus intensity and immediately the typical gooseberry from Sauvignon Blanc takes a prominent spot on the stage. Grapefruit and lime zest are also present, along with wonderful flinty and shale-like notes. The palate is quite bold with rich concentrated citrus fruits and lemon meringue pie. The acidity is incredibly lively making the mouth water for a long time. Pair this with shell fish or a vegetarian curry dish.
