A Touriga Nacional led blend that saw 12 months oak aging. Quite complex for the price point with some florals, dark fruit, an herbal minty and peppery spiciness, anise, sandalwood and graphite. It is fullish on the palate with medium plus dusty tannins and balancing acidity. Oak treatment is well integrated. Decent length. An excellent value. April 2015.
OK, I'm actually offended by the ratings given by "da boyz". This wine is currently dominated by charcoal/bitter chocolate and I strongly doubt that it has enough fruit buried underneath it to survive cellaring. It otherwise has no obvious flaws.
