With an ode to Zind-Humbrecht, this PEC blend from Norman Hardie is very much in the Alsatian model.
Nose is subtle, with stone fruits such s white peach, a bit of green melon and Granny Smith, and a hint of honeysuckle. Palate follows through, with a slight lime zest.
Firm acidity throughout, it's a mineral finish of medium length without being too austere. At only 10.3% ABV, there's a lot of character and body for a lighter-alcohol wine.
Tasted February 2015.
