The CdC Pinot schematic is never predicated on pectin or reduction but rather the pungent molasses of earth. What...

The 2010 Château Des Charmes Estate Bottled Old Vines Pinot Noir, sourced exclusively from the most mature vineyards, has classical aromas of rosehip, dried pomegranate, subtle fennel and wood on the nose and dried pomegranate on the palate. It is a light bodied, extra-dry, fruity to integrated wine; with crisp/forward acidity, subtle tannins (decant for 15-30 min) and a medium finish. This is a food friendly wine; drink 2014-2017+ (>4 cm cork enclosure). My impression: NICE, 88 pts – well priced entry level Pinot – recommended for its value. Tasted in Jul/14.

Medium-intensity aromas featuring beetroot, lead, cherry and some meaty notes. It's medium-full bodied on the palate with dark fruits, cherry, beetroot, and tilled earth flavours. Hints of strawberry. Good acids, dry tannins, and long, warm finish. Tasted Sept/2014.
