Always a treat to drink Norm's wines and this one is no different. While I'm more familiar with the PEC bottlings, this one strikes some familiar notes of matchstick, flinty minerality, a bit of under ripe stone fruit, lemon and orange zest and a hint of sweet vanilla. On the palate, it's medium bodied with beautiful cool climate acidity, though it's a bit more full and round than those from the County. The finish goes on and on with this. Different style, but just as good as you'd expect from Norman Hardie. Tasted July 2014.
