The nose won’t please a lot, but the taste will
Description: Deep ruby to purple in colour with a medium intense nose. The wine shows smoked spiced oak, bitter cherry, bramble fruit, licorice, umami and Portobello mushrooms. Medium body with low but dry tannins, good acidity and a fairly long length.
Negatives: None
Interesting Note: My mom really liked it (Insert shocked face)
Drink now or in the next 5 years on its own or and pair it with grilled lamb chops.

100% Tempranillo. Prune and cedar oak aromas from the cork. Black cherry, mulberry surrounded by forest floor and earthy aromas of medium intensity. The palate is medium bodied with silky, refined tannins and balanced acidity. Good complexity on the palate with flavours of black cherry, resin, light oak spice and pepper that linger through to the long finish, which also has hints of mocha. Enjoy over the next couple of years. Tasted May/2015.
Very nice Rioja, fruity. Good value
Tasted June 2015.
Fruit forward on the palate with taut, nervy heart-of-grape and stem mixed with cherries. Somewhat flat nose, so the vibrant acidity came as a pleasant surprise, especially in a 100% tempranillo--but 4 months in oak barrels does not do this grape justice. Nice length nonetheless, and good value.
