This is quite delicious, certainly a zingy summer wine that captures some sauvignon-like lift with green apple, lime,...

Very flinty, smoky notes which are quite characteristic. Lots of lemon, peach and granny smith apple don the palate....

100% Pecorino. Inviting lemon and nectarine aromas from the cork. Quite aromatic with wet hay, flinty, and lemon aromas in the glass. Dry on the palate, quite full-ish with lemon, grapefruit, peach and green apple flavours. Has balanced acids and very good length with lemony flavours on the finish. Some saltiness mid-palate continues on to the finish. Drink soon. Tasted May/2015.

This pleasant, aromatic Pecorino from Abruzzo opens up with a waft of lemon and peanut-buttery nuttiness before broadening into an appealing range of notes including lemon-lime, peach-apricot, green apple, gooseberry, a melange of tropical fruits, and raw nuts, with a streak of minerality running through it and a light spritziness livening it up, the whole affair quite dry and tart. It actually comes across like a subdued Sauvignon Blanc, in a good way. The problem is that the parts don't really hold together all that well, and so for all the appealing complexity the whole is a tad disjointed.

Featured in the July edition of Vintages from the LCBO, this aromatic white from Abruzzo is pure florals. pecorino is known for jasmine and acacia blossom aromas, and this expression is quintessential. Pear, nectarine (among other stone fruits) as well as those elusive florals define the aromatic profile of this dry white. The intense aromatics that burst from the glass are not as well defined on the palate, but the crisp and refreshing acidity gives this impressive pecorino a delightful finish.
