Light gold in colour with a medium to medium+ intense nose.
Great quality Chenin for a great price
Positives: This wine features lime, green apple, lemon rind, ripe pear, flint, white pepper, limestone and a touch of honey. Medium body with good acidity and a long length
Negatives: A little heat from the 14% alcohol
Interesting Point: 1.The winery uses no herbicides or pesticides and the grapes are handpicked. 2.This wine is an age worthy Chenin that will only get better with age. 3. The best glass was the Chardonnay/Viognier Riedel stemware.
Drink now or in the next 10 years on its own or and pair it with P.E.I. Mussels Sautéed with Garlic, Shallots & Parsley in White Wine Sauce.

Out of 5 stars, I rated this wine: 4.5
I've had this one each of the last few vintages and, once again, it doesn't disappoint. There's a ton of complexity on the nose with loads of pear, apple, lime, honey, oak spice, and minerality (when tasting blind, I always have trouble with this and really well done Chardonnay). It's medium-full bodied and quite round on the palate with good acid and incredibly well balanced. There's a lot going on with this wine, but it all comes together beautifully, with a finish that is lengthy. Such a good value! Tasted June 2014
Packs a serious punch of flavour and complexity. Racy isn't enough to describe the liveliness if this wine. Citrus and crisp green apple aromas intermingle with stone and orchard fruit and hard core minerality to offer up a super intriguing wine for under $20. The palate is biting and sharp but underpinning a serious core of fruit, minerality and caramel toastiness. Lots to enjoy here.
I found this muted at first nosing, with an austere minerality and unripe green grapes - but after a bit of time it really opened up. (Perhaps initially served a tad cold.)
Honey, chamomile, white flowers, orange peel, light caramel.
Crisp lemon & lime on the palate, only slightly creamy, with hints of marzipan, almond.
Medium finish, the acid is perfectly balanced.
Tasted June 2014. Great buy.
Some nice lush fruit and oaky honey dew to this wine but the finish is a tad short and finished with a sea salt taste. Some people may dig that, but it didn't really tickle my fancy...nice wine though.
Great value. Nice distinctive white with character.
Texturally fleshy, with considerable oak influence edging toward the buttery end of the spectrum. However, there is a bit of a reductive, asparagus note on the nose, which might be unpleasant for some. It's a solid value, but I don't think that it deserves these 90+ ratings.
