Nice to see a pinot of this quality as a general listing, and at a reasonable price too. Not hugely complex, but a compelling sipper with cherry, cola, and floral notes. For me, it strikes the right balance between cool climate delicacy and in-your-face warm climate abundant fruitiness and high alcohol.
Another fine vintage from a reliable Marlborough producer of NZ Pinot Noir.
Bright nose of cherries, raspberry, hint of white pepper and herbs.
Palate of lush strawberries, sour cherries, and a touch of dark fruit jam. Medium-bodied, the nice acidity hold the fruit finish, with mild tannins.
A classic new-world pinot.
Tasted November 2014.
Explosive flavours with a nice mix of sweet & sour fruits
Description: Light garnet to ruby in colour with a medium+ intense nose. This wine features pine, cherry, cranberry, raspberry, oak spice, nutmeg and autumn leaves. Medium body with low tannins, good acidity and a long length.
Negatives: Some heat from the 13% alcohol
