Peaches, melons, spices, and floral notes on the nose. It has crisp acidity with lots of fruit. Great summer wine. Best chilled.
The wolftrap series (both reds and whites) offer consistent quality and value vintage to vintage. Expect complex aromatics (viognier) with a creamy slightly off dry palate and a savoury finish. Medium lemony acidity and decent length. January 2015.
This wine has a nice flavour profile, with a lot of stone fruit and floral notes. It is a bit buttery compared to the crisp, herbal whites I usually drink - and it definitely needs a god chill before serving.
Nose of grilled apricots, butter croissant.
Not austere, but a tad "thin" in the mouthfeel. Peaches predominate.
Short+ finish, but integrated acid and nice mineral note.
Lots of flavour and complexity, but perhaps a little coarse? Good value.
