The 2012 Heinrich Zweigelt, sourced from vines up to 30 years old that were then aged in large oak vats for about a year before bottling, has seductive notes of pine sap, violets, forest berries and pomegranate on the nose and stewed berries, and pomegranate on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with refreshing acidity, subtle tannins and a clean, smooth finish of medium length. Enjoy with food; drink now to 2018+. My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts. Tasted in Apr/14 at 'Tasted with Andreas Wickhoff, Austria’s third Master of Wine, at the Fine Wine Reserve.' http://grapeselections.com/grapeselections/wine-reviews/.
