A blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The oak use here is noticeable with toasted rye bread, brown flower and sunflower seed shells and presently it sits a little on top of the savory red fruits just below. The oak becomes a little more integrated on the palate with poppy seeds and cherry pits with a leaner tannin structure. The finish smooths out offering dark cherries and breakfast tea with milk. A little time in the cellar will help the wine integrate, and it should prove to be a savory drop in a few years.
