The 2009 Villa Poggio Salvi Brunello Di Montalcino has pleasing, yet subdued aromas of fennel, clove, cigar box, tobacco, wood, cranberries, dried pomegranate and red currant. It is a light to medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated to aged wine; with crisp acidity, refined to dusty tannins and a medium to long finish. Drink now – 2020. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts – recommended for its quality and value. Soon to be released. Tasted Mar/14 http://grapeselections.com/benvenuto-brunello/
