I had the pleasure of tasting this 2008 Barolo at Terroni in July, 2014. This exquisite expression of nebbiolo reflects the winemaker's traditionalist approach, as it displays classic Barolo notes of dried roses and tar as well as cloves, cinnamon, leather and tobacco. This wine is masculine with a solid structure: high tannins, high acid and high alcohol. It will improve with age, but if you are drinking it now, allow it some time to open up in the glass.
