While those one lacks much elegance, it will definitely appeal to the fans of big and rich whites. Yalumba consistently delivers with their viogniers and, once again, this one shows well. Ripe and boozy, the nose is loaded with notes of ripe stone fruit, papaya, exotic spice, and a bit of an earthy/stinky (in a good way) note. On the palate, it's full-bodied, round and creamy with the boozy heat coming through. There's enough acid to keep everything in check though. The flavours replay, though the spice really shines. The length is quite long. Tasted July 2014
