Tasted October 2014.
March 2015 - this seems to be coming together nicely but has some room for improvement yet I think. Bought a second and third bottle ($14.25) to keep for 2016. Might be a 90 by then. Pasta with meatballs.
The 2011 Ferrari Iris & Figli Bolgheri Rosso has unimpressive aromas of dates and prune on the nose and dates + figs on the palate. It is a light to medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward/refreshing acidity, refined tannins (decant for 15 min) and a medium finish. It is a food friendly wine; drink in the short term (composite cork enclosure). My impression: NOTHING SPECIAL, 87 pts. Tasted in Jan/15.
