Great value wine!
The Wolftrap is a very interesting wine with lots of wood, leather, wet rocks and blackberries on the nose. The wine is dark purple to tawny on the edges and has legs and finish to match the 14.5% alcohol. This pairs really well with fatty foods and is an excellent value. I’ll be keeping a couple bottles of this around.
Great wine for the price.
Simple red, with pleasant red fruit backed with herbeceous, smoky notes. Thankfully, not cloying the way some new world wines are. With wine prices escalating prices at the LCBO (esp Vintages), I suppose that this is to be considered good value. Guess I have to make more trips to the US to get real value. Tasted May 2014.
Nothing Amazing about this. It was more the bouquet than the actual taste I enjoyed the most. Not smokey at all
