The 2008 Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz, harvested from 100 year old vines grown in the Eden Valley, has awe-inspiring aromas of blackcurrant extract, black cherry, cigar box and bilberry. It is a full bodied, extra-dry, fruity to integrated wine; balanced with forward, refreshing acidity, refined tannins and extra-long, smooth finish. This is a sipping wine to be enjoyed with someone special; drink now – 2025+. My impression: BEAUTIFUL to DIVINE, 93+ pts – recommended for its quality.
