This is densely packed and fruity, slightly reductive, with wood influence still quite prominent - a long way from...

A good deal of depth and complexity in this rather mellowed Nuits-St-Georges. Notes of cherry, bramble and vanilla...

Sepurb Pinot Noir. Quite pale now, but brimming with life. Nose carries fantastic array of aromas of spice and fruit; eucalyptus too. Round, mouth filling, with ripe fruit and tannins. Plenty of great Pinot Noir out there from other regions, but this is why I still stump up for Burgundy. In hindsight, a very good buy. Earlier note: At very fine PN, with deep fruit and lots of complexity. Delicious.

Seriously tasty Pinot at that's somewhat affordable considering the cost of most Burgundy (picked it up at $35). Lovely cherry, strawberry, raspberry notes along with a bit of smoke and baking spice. Light-medium bodied, there's nice tannic grip to it, refreshing acidity, and a lovely fruity, long finish. This is ready to go now, but will definitely get better in 3-5 years. Tasted October 2014

Medium-high intensity bouquet that has earthy/barnyard, sour cherry and hints of strawberry on the nose. Light-bodied with nice aroma replays, along with mushroom and mineral flavours on the palate. Slightly chalky tannins, should reward 2-3 years ageing. Acids are nicely balanced. Lengthy finish. Tasted Apr/2014. Score: 91+ pts
