Still very high intensity aromas of burnt sugar, caramel, dried peach and apricots. Medium-full bodied with inviting aroma replays plus honey and sweet caramel flavours. Even though the finish is on the short side, it is delicious. Tasted Jan/2014.
The 1999 Strewn Vidal Blanc Icewine has captivating aromas of honeydew melon, apricot and floral/honey notes. It is a full bodied, sweet wine; with good acidity and a medium, sweet, lightly syrupy finish. Enjoy on its own or with along with some nuts; drink now – 2018+? My impression: quite NICE, 89 pts – excellent price for 15 year old wine, recommended for its quality and value. Tasted Jan/14 during Niagara Icewine Festival event: http://grapeselections.com/events/
