This red version of ice wine made from cabernet sauvignon is amazing. It paired well with chocolate truffles, although I was dreaming of pouring it over vanilla ice cream garnished with champagne (Corinth) grapes. The aromatics are reminiscent of ripe strawberries, cooked rhubarb, mixed berry jam and candied ginger. Refreshing acidity balances a rich, viscous mouth feel, and the intense honey drizzled on fruit flavours haunt the palate with a lengthy, dreamy finish.
