Found a somewhat dated note on this wine:
A gift through work. Lean and shrill, with acidity levels more akin to a cool climate white. Fruit is dead, only hints of pepper and a bit of dried meat. Wine was stored well, but this is horrible stuff, especially given the reputation of this wine and the producer. Perhaps an off-bottle? I should hope so, it retailed for $75 back in 1999....now north of $300. Tasted Dec 2016.
